My New Favorite Movie!

Saved! is quite possibly the coolest movie ever! It came out last year, but it wasn't in theaters here, so I didn't actually see it. I had heard about it back when it was still in post-productions, though, and I just knew it was probably going to be good - if for no other reason than it poked fun at all the uber-religious weirdos! When I was in Billings earlier this month, I happened to pick it up at Target for $7.50 to watch in my hotel room. I didn't get a chance to watch it then, but I finally got a chance to watch it at work last week. It was hysterical! I absolutely loved it. So much so, in fact, that I just watched it again here at work before I was moved to tell you all about it! The movie was awesomely cast - everyone was perfect in their roles! Originally, Anne Hathaway (The Princess Diaries) was supposed to play the role done by Mandy Moore, but I think it would not have been as good cast that way. Mandy was the perfect person to play the "holier-than-thou" Hilary Faye. Jena Malone, Macaulay Culkin, Eva Amurri, Patrick Fugit, and Chad Faust were all excellent in their roles as well. Everyone should see this movie! Especially if you are like me and you have a Hilary Faye (or a dozen) in your life. You totally won't regret it! Now, I think I might just go watch it again...

I have this on DVD, too, Jen, and love it! What a riot! And you're right... Mandy Moore was a much better choice. :)
