Do You Believe in Signs?

On my way to work tonight, I saw a shooting star. Big deal, right? Actually, for me it was a HUGE deal! First off, it's a pretty starless night tonight - there are maybe only a dozen stars you can see to begin with. Second, well that takes some explaining.

I hadn't seen shooting stars since I was a little kid. Then November 21st (the day my world almost fell apart), while my best friend Tyson and I were driving, we saw 2 of them one right after the other. He told me that those stars were us and that anytime I ever saw a shooting star to remember that it is him, thinking of me.

I haven't been able to talk to Tyson since the 26th before he was hospitalized (and my world DID fall apart) because he was put into a treatment center somewhere. I don't know where he is or how he is, and it's been incredibly distressing to me. I've been incredibly depressed (to the point that the anti-depresants I was already on are not helping), I haven't been able to keep any food down, the list goes on and on. So when I saw the shooting star tonight, it made me feel a little better. It reminded me that he is still with me and still loves me, just as I am still with him and love him. One of my co-workers told me that he was sure that it was Tyson telling me that he loves me and that he is okay, and he gave me an even happier thought - he believes that Tyson saw it too. I hope so...
